Dental problems don't always happen during normal business hours.

Should you require emergency dental care, please contact our line at 203-488-6553.  We leave an emergency contact number on the answering machine outside of regular business hours.  Dr Michalak treats his patients as he would want to be treated and is available for contact though his emergency contact line at all times we are not in the office.

Payment Policies

We can submit to all major insurance policies and COBRA. We are affiliated with many of the local employers and their plans.  Our office offers convenient financing options and also discounts for payments up front on more extensive work.  If you have dental benefits please bring your insurance card during your initial visit. In addition, we accept all major credit cards, checks and cash. Payment plans may be set up through our front office coordinator.   Be sure to ask about all the details during your visit.

Preventative care: At least every 6 months

We encourage all of our patients to maintain their regular prevetive care appointment schedule.

Our tip: If it has been an extended period since your last dental care visit then you should schedule a consultation and xrays appointment.  After we assess your teeth we can tailor any appointments to your schedule and needs.

Start children early

Proper oral hygiene habits are learned early.  As soon as your toddler can manage a toothbrush (24-30 months), supervised brushing instructions can create beneficial habits that last a lifetime.  Remember, children under 10 should be supervised at all times to make sure they are adequately cleaning their teeth.

John D Michalak DMD recommends a first dentist around 1-2 years old. Cleaning of their teeth first occurs around 3 years old.  In the earliest years we work to make sure parents are knowledgable with the care of their childrens teeth and prescribe fluoride supplements as young as 6 months old.  Establishing regular visits at a young age has proven to improve the health and stability of adult teeth.
